The artist

Anna Maria creates art out of a deep human need to transform the difficult into something bearable. Her works are not created to impress quickly, but to live with people over time where they can act as quiet anchor points in everyday life.

Each painting is an encounter between strength and vulnerability. An invitation to slow down and feel what often disappears in a world characterized by noise and demands.

Anna Maria has a background outside the traditional paths of art. She worked as a doctor for a number of years, until her body and life demanded a break with the pace and structures she had been a part of. In that break, a new perspective emerged as a homecoming.

The connection to nature and horses has played a central role in this movement. Here she found a wordless space where presence, regulation and inner peace arise without explanation. It is this same space that her art springs from.

Inspired by nature, horses and old tales, Anna Maria works in a style she describes as colorful fantasy realism. The symbolism is supportive, but never intrusive. It is not created to be interpreted, but to be felt.

Her art is aimed at the sensual person who is tired but not empty. To those who have carried a lot and who are looking for something real to reflect on. The works do not promise quick solutions and do not function as therapy, but they work slowly and deeply with inner peace, strength and a sense of home.

Anna Maria's paintings are beautiful but never empty. They are created for people who want more than just a motif on the wall. Art with content, presence and permanence.
